Ao Sane Beach

DescriptionAo Sane Beach is a quiet place for relaxing vacation with a nice atmosphere. The beach is quite small and surround with a beautiful rocky and it is a nice beach for swimming. Around the beach has a small restaurant and bungalow for tourists. There is a fairly good restaurant on the first beach and it serves good Thai food at inexpensive prices, is open from early in the morning to late at night, and also has toilets and showers. Although Ao Len is small compared to other tourist locations, it is just as good as they are because it is quite close to Nai Han beach and it takes only a short time to get there from the latter.
How to get thereFrom Nai Harn Beach just drives west to the Royal Phuket Yacht Club. Stay to your left and go down into the tunnel under the resort. You will arrive on the other side on a small road that wind along the coast and up a hill. When you come down the hill you will see the sign for Ao Sane Beach on your left. There is a car park at the top of the beach and a very steep hill that you can choose to either drive down or walk if you are on a motorcycle.
Ao Yon Beach

DescriptionFor tourists who love seclusion and peace, and seek a magnificent place that is free of people, Ao Yon Beach is an excellent target. It has a very small beach that is not entirely white and the sand is slightly coarser compared to that of other beaches. Ao Yon is a small bay located between Panwa Beach and Cape Panwa in the south of Phuket. There are 3 restaurants on the beach and neither entertainment activities, nor pick-up points or taxis.
How to get thereFrom Panwa Cape, make the turn up the hill towards the View Point. There are also signs for the Cloud 19 Beach Resort. Follow the road up into the jungle for a few kilometers. You will come down a relatively steep hill that winds down near Ao Yon Noi Beach which runs immediately parallel to the road. Eventually you should come to a model giraffe near a sign that says ‘Beach Bar.’ Park your bike or car at the top of the hill and walk down to the beach. It’s a bit of a hike going down the hill, but the beach is well worth the effort.
Ao Yon Noi Beach

DescriptionAo Yon Noi is a popular hangout for Thai families and there have been a couple different groups having picnics in the sand. On the east end of the beach is the always friendly Ship Inn. It is a restaurant and bar located directly on the beach that serves both Thai and Western food.

DescriptionBanana Beach is located between Bang Tao and Nai Thon Beaches, about 500 meters north of Trisara Villas. There are not many people to know this beach, so the beach is still stunningly beautiful. The entire beach is ringed by coconut palm trees and there are rock formations at either end of the beach and down the middle. There is a small restaurant along the south end of the beach that serves Thai food although it is a bit more costly then you would expect.
How to get thereTravel along the road north from Layan Beach. As you pass Trisara Resort, Banana Beach is on your left hand side. You need to head on down through the jungle in order to reach this beautiful Phuket beach, but it is definitely worth the effort. Park your car/bike along the road and just head down the path.

DescriptionFreedom Beach is the most beautiful and isolated beaches on Phuket just 10 minute ride longtail boat from Patong Beach. Freedom Beach is private beach but open the public, a full range of water activities is available here, from jet skiing to parasailing behind a speedboat or other popular activities such as beach volleyball, and snorkelling. Don't forget your mask and fins because the marine life that abounds on the coral reefs here is among the best on Phuket island. There is an opportunity to find small seashells that often wash ashore here and just around the rock outcroppings to the north is the much quieter.
How to get thereFreedom Beach is accessible by long-tail boat, which parked at the jetty at the southern end of Patong Beach, but that is also the most expensive way as it can cost about 1500 baht round-trip. You can also attempt to hire a boat from the north of Karon Beach or from Tri Trang Beach, but it will prove more difficult. Either way, the boat ride is about 15 minutes and you will pass by some beautiful scenery along the way.

DescriptionFriendship Beach is a wonderful beach to enjoying the panoramic view of Chalong Bay, Koh Lone and Koh Hae. The beach is a peaceful beach and away from crowds. Friendship Beach is not completely lacking in charm and not the ideal location for beach party and activities. If you are looking for the wonderful beach with fewer tourists and enjoying the view of Chalong Bay then Friendship Beach is an excellent target.
How to get thereOne way to reach the beach is by starting out at Chalong Pier and walking south down the beach. Another way is to go to Serenity Resort & Residences, which allows anyone to come into their resort and use the pool for free. The pool is located adjacent to Friendship Beach, so just step down onto it. A third way is to head down into Friendship Beach Resort, they allow non residents to use their pool and restaurant as well, their restaurant is adjacent to the beach as well.

DescriptionHeeowhat Beach is not far from Cape Panwa, surrounded by overhanging coconut palm trees and there is little local development. The sand is a bit rocky and uncomfortable to walk. If you are looking for peace beach, and seek a magnificent place that is free of people, Heeowhat Beach may be for you.
How to get thereDrive into Cape Panwa on Sakdidet Road. Just keep going, following the signs to Cape Panwa. Approximate two kilometers after the fork to Makham Bay, you will see the beach on your left.

DescriptionHua Beach is very private and a very nice beach, which is located not far from Kamala beach. Hua beach is sandy but a little gravelly. The seabed is sandy with rocks. The water is deep enough to do a little snorkeling and there are plenty of fish.
How to get thereFrom Kamala beach, head west along the beach road. You will pass Rayee Beach on your right hand side. Keep going as the road winds back up into the jungle. You will quickly come to a sign pointing down a track toward Hua Beach. Park up on the road and walk down to the beach.
Khao Khat Beach

DescriptionKhoa Khat Beach is a quiet beach which located on the west side of Cape Panwa. The beach is white sand and clear blue water but it not suited to bathing because the seabed is a mixture of sand and stone. The bay is shallow and no use for snorkeling. The beach has some nice views of Koh Lon and Chalong Bay. From the beach you can see all of the boats anchored in the bay.
How to get thereFrom Panwa Cape, make the turn up the hill towards the View Point. There are also signs for the Cloud 19 Beach Resort. Follow the road up into the jungle for a few kilometers. You will come down a relatively steep hill that winds down near Ao Yon Noi Beach which runs immediately parallel to the road. Keep driving along this road, passing Ao Yon Beach on your left. As the road winds back up north, Khao Khat Beach will run along the left hand side. By the Sea Resident, Hotel Novotel and Cloud 19 Beach Retreat all line this beach.
Laem Ka Beach

DescriptionLaem Ka Beach is round-shaped cape located southwest of Chalong Bay. The beach is clean and popular for leisure local Thais. The sea water is clear and decent for swimming and there are off shore rocks that make for some good snorkeling opportunities. On both ends of the beach there are rock formations jutting out into the sea.
How to get thereFrom Rawai Beach, turn left onto Wiset Road. Continue up the road for a few hundred meters until you come to a 7-11 on your right hand side. Turn on the road that runs along the side of the 7-11. Continue down the road until you come to a guard booth. Some days the barrier is down and you will be out of luck, but must days it will be up, so just drive on through. Continue forward through the coconut orchard until you come to a fork in the road. The left path is blocked by a mannequin and a sign. Go down the right path until you reach a parking lot. Laem Ka Beach is located down a hill from the parking lot.
Laem Singh Beach

DescriptionLaem Singh Beach is a peaceful beach for swimming and sunbathing with fewer tourists. The beach has one-kilometer-long beach sitting between Surin and Kamala beaches. For tourists who love seclusion and peace, and seek a magnificent place that is free of people, Laem Singh Beach is an excellent target.
How to get thereLaem Singh Beach is located directly between Surin and Kamala Beach. There are two parking lots at the top of the hill, each charging a parking fee. They are signs along the road and pointing down to the beach, so it shouldn’t be all too difficult to find. From the parking lot just walk down the path to the beach. The south parking lot offers a short but steep trail, the north parking lot has a longer but less demanding decline, so take your pick.

DescriptionNui Beach is a small beach laid Kata and Nai Harn beaches. Getting there is still difficult, as the road is not yet developed, you might need a four-wheel drive vehicle or moto-cross bikes. Nui Beach is a peaceful beach with a few tourists and there are larger rocks along the shore, in the shallow water and lining both sides of the beach. The beach is deep water enough for a good swim without worrying. There is pretty good snorkeling around the rocks on either end of the beach. Be sure to bring your own equipment because there are no vendors on the beach.
How to get thereFrom Kata View Point, head down towards Rawai. Almost immediately, you will see a sign for Nui Beach pointing to the right. The road itself is dirt and is filled with ruts that make it very difficult to navigate by vehicle. If you are in a car, forget about trying to get down to the beach, you should probably avoid trying it in a motorcycle as well. You can either walk down or ride an ATV down if you happen to have one. A local Thai on an ATV will sometimes give rides up and down the path, for a fee of course. Another option is to hire a boat at nearby Kata Noi Beach and come in that way.

DescriptionThe coast of Palai Beach is lined by mangrove forests and there are a number of restaurants along the beach. There is now a beachside walkway along the newly built sea wall to help protect the coastline during high seas and this acts as a great place to take some exercise or enjoy the views over Chalong Bay. Low water which makes for an interesting time to take a walk as many of the fishing boats will be stranded on the beach and are fun to explore. There are several restaurants along the beach, one of the oldest being Prahn Talay Seafood and another well know restaurant is Palai Seafood.
How to get therePalai Beach located on the north of Chalong and the easiest way to get there is to look for the Phuket Zoo sign and follow the road down to the coast. Take a left turn just after the Zoo entrance and you'll find Palai Beach.

DescriptionParadise beach is a small private beach, peaceful and not crowded same another beaches. The beach is white sandy with clear blue sea and it is perfect beach for sunbathing and swimming. Paradise beach located not far from Patong beach and it still natural beauty despite the influx of tourism. Paradise beach is perfect beach for a truely relaxing.
How to get thereDrive up the road at the south end of Patong Beach until you come to a narrow road extending upward on a hill. If you are on a motorcycle, depending on the recent weather conditions, you may or may not be able to make it. If you are in a car, or preferably a truck, it shouldn’t be any problem. This is all private land, so try and be respectful.
An alternative to driving is renting a long-tail boat from Patong Beach. It is going to cost you a fair bit more, but you won’t have to cross over private land to get there. Besides, it’s more exciting arriving at a new beach by sea then it is by land.

DescriptionPon Beach is a small beach which the beach is mixture of powdery sand and shingle. The beach is very peaceful and surrounded with Casuarina trees and coconut palms. The seabed is rocky and it not recommend for bathing. But Pon Beach is a good snorkeling beach. If you swim out about 100 meters from the beach there are some nice coral formations. Not as many fish as at some other locations but some interesting species.
How to get thereNear the Thavorn Beach Village Hotel is a road to the left. The road is a little bumpy and steep but the drive is comfortable enough. Go for about a kilometer and you will see a sign post for the beach. You can either park your vehicle and walk 300 meters down the track to the beach or if your vehicle is rugged enough you can drive down.

DescriptionRayee Beach is located not far from Kamala Beach. The beach is a little bit rocky and the water level is very low then it can not swimming or snorkeling. There is a small restaurant with massage attached at the south end, built on a small wooden terrace reached via a tiny bridge, and another tiny dining place near the center of the beach.
How to get thereDrive along the Kamala Beach road to the south. When you come to the end turn right. After about one kilometer you will arrive to Rayee Beach.

DescriptionRelax Beach is a small beautiful beach which located between Patong and Karon Beach. The beach is the part of the Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort and it look to be an extremely nice beach with a white sandy beach, beautiful turquoise water set into a bay.
How to get thereThere are only two ways to get to Relax Beach. Either be a guest at the Le Meridien Phuket Resort or higher a boat to drop you off. The second option is the easier of the two, but you will likely face hostility from the hotel staff.
Sai Kaew Beach

DescriptionSai Kaew Beach is a beautiful white sand beach located at the northern most point in Phuket Island and next to Mai Khao Beach, the way to go the Sarasin Bridge. The entire beach is surrounded by pine trees and it is a very secluded and relaxing place if you are fed up with the crowds in Phuket then Sai Kaew Beach is perfect beach for you. Sai Kaew Beach has a nice blue tone sea and white sand beach which you can walk alone for miles, you would never guess you are still in Phuket. The beach has many good restaurants then you can take the time to stop here one day to enjoy a breezy seafood lunch or dinner.
How to get thereAt the very northern point on the island before you cross the Sarasin Bridge, you will see the beach down on the left. There is a small footpath here that leads down to the beach. If you would rather drive to the beach, there is a road a short distance before the bridge that turns left immediately before a school. This road will take you straight to the beach.
Tri Tra Beach

DescriptionTri Tra Beach is located in the south of Patong Beach and it is quite peaceful beach with naturally beautiful. The beach is very soft sand and it is perfect beach for sunbathing and walking around. But it not good idea to swimming at this beach because the sea is quite shallow and the seabed is littered with rocks. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy a day in the sun on the beach then Tri Tra Beach is perfect beach for you.
How to get thereFollow the road at the south end of Patong Beach for about two and half kilometers and you will be at the beach. The Tri Trang Beach Resort is located on this beach (don’t ask us why it isn’t on Tri Trang Beach).

How to get thereFollow the road at the south end of Patong Beach until you reach the Merlin Beach Resort. On the left hand side before you actually reach the resort, there is a foot path that leads down to the beach.
Ya Nui Beach

DescriptionYa Nui Beach is a small beach tucked between Phromthep Cape and Rawai Beach, featuring steep headlands. The beach has white sand that slopes smoothly into the sea. It is sheltered to the south-west by Koh Kaeo Noi which is a fairly small island. Dividing the beach in half is a formation of rocks that jut out into the Andaman Sea. Ya Nui Beach not advised to swimming during the monsoon season. If you love in sunbathing without the crowds, Ya Nui Beach may be for you.
How to get thereThe easiest way to find Ya Nui Beach is to start from either Laem Phromthep Viewpoint or Nai Harn Viewpoint. If you are starting at Phromthep, head north along the only road. It is a windy coastal road that has a few beautiful views off the left hand side. Wind your way down through the jungle until you find yourself down to around sea level. Ya Nui Beach will be directly on your left side. If you’re coming from Nai Harn View Point, just do the opposite.
